Step 1: Download the Windows app

Download the Deepspace-windows-x64.zip release from the trusted Mosaic download location (cmosam.com/deepspace). Save it somewhere easy to find, such as your Downloads folder.

Step 2: Extract the complete folder

Right-click the ZIP file and choose Extract All. Keep every file in the extracted Deepspace-win32-x64 folder together. Deepspace is a portable desktop app, so it does not use a separate Windows installer.

Step 3: Open Deepspace

Open the extracted folder and double-click Deepspace.exe. If desired, you can pin it to Start or your taskbar after confirming that it opens normally.

Step 4: Connect and start exploring

Deepspace uses Google for search and online content, so keep an internet connection available. Enter a search in the address bar, or use the Solar System experience from the new-tab page.

Troubleshooting: Windows blocks the app

Confirm that the ZIP came from the official Mosaic source. If Windows shows a protection warning for a trusted copy, delete the folder. Go back to the Deepspace website and download it again. This time before unzipping, right click the ZIP folder and select Properties. Near the bottom of the menu, click Unblock, Apply, and then Ok. Proceed as normal to open Deepspace outlined in the steps above. Do not run files from an untrusted download.

Troubleshooting: Deepspace will not open

Make sure you extracted the entire ZIP file instead of moving only Deepspace.exe. Delete the incomplete extracted folder, extract the ZIP again, then open Deepspace.exe from the new folder.

Troubleshooting: Search has no results

Check your internet connection, then close and reopen Deepspace. The desktop app needs a connection to load search results and other online content.
